Many contemporary Muslim institutions face a structural disconnect where educational entities are financially fragile and commercial initiatives lack ethical anchoring. This study historically examines how the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ integrated educational development and productive economic life in the Madinah community as a unified civilizational strategy. Employing a qualitative-historical design, the study analyzes primary accounts from the Sirah Nabawiyyah, authentic hadith compilations, and classical historical works through content, thematic, and deductive qualitative analysis. The findings reveal that the Madinan model established an interconnected ecosystem where mosque-based learning, character formation, market regulation, and wealth redistribution mutually reinforced one another. Specifically, the Prophet's Mosque provided the ethical foundation and human infrastructure for the marketplace, which was managed to foster trust, transparency, and self-reliance. This study concludes that the Madinan experience offers a historically validated, portable framework for modern Islamic schools, pesantren institutions, and social enterprises seeking to integrate curricular values with financial independence and socially responsible economic development.
