Abstract

Indonesia’s maritime sector contributes approximately 2.5% to the gross domestic product. Despite the country’s vast marine territory, its potential remains underexplored and underutilized. This study aims to analyze the impact of the blue economy and macroeconomic factors on regional economic growth in Indonesia. The research object is the regional economic growth of provinces across Indonesia. The secondary data analyzed include inflation, investment, labor, the Human Development Index, total fisheries production, the fishermen and fish farmers’ terms of trade, and regional gross domestic product from 2010 to 2023 across 32 provinces. The data were examined using descriptive statistical analysis and panel data regression methods. The results indicate that inflation, labor, the Human Development Index, and fisheries production volume significantly affect provincial regional economic growth.
