This research method uses descriptive quantitative with data collection techniques using questionnaires distributed to scouts and stakeholders at the port. The R-Square value for smooth ship traffic is 0.762, indicating that the variables of professional pilotage, pilotage services, shipping safety and ship security are able to explain around 76.2% of the variation in smooth ship traffic. This means that the professional factors of pilots, pilotage services, shipping safety and ship security have a major contribution to the smoothness of ship traffic. The R-Square value for shipping safety is 0.626, indicating that the professional guide and guiding service variables are able to explain around 62.6% of the variation in shipping safety. This shows a moderate contribution to the smoothness of ship traffic. The R-Square value of guiding services is 0.425 indicating that guiding professionals explain around 42.5% of the variation in guiding services. This indicates that although there is a fairly strong relationship, there are other factors that also influence guiding services. The R-Square value of ship safety is 0.580, the pilot professional and pilot service variables explain around 58% of the variation in ship safety. This shows quite a significant influence, indicating that professional pilotage and pilotage services are an important factor in ship safety.
Syahrial Nasution Muhammad Thamrin Sri Rahardjo Datep Purwa Saputra Copyright (c) 2024 Syahrial Nasution, Muhammad Thamrin, Sri Rahardjo, Datep Purwa Saputra https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-07 2024-12-07 6 2 772 784 10.38035/dijemss.v6i2.3630 The Role of Organizational Resilience in the Influence of Transformational Leadership and Employee Engagement on Organizational Performance https://dinastipub.org/DIJEMSS/article/view/3637
The main objective of this study is to investigate how transformational leadership and employee engagement impact organizational performance in the logistics industry, with organizational resilience as a mediator. Employees will feel stressed in some situations and need to come up with ways to deal with the tension they will encounter. The purpose of this research is to know how perceived organizational support influence work meaningfulness, work engagement, and perceived stress, moderated by personality traits. In this research, primary data and secondary data are used, the primary data used is by distributing questionnaires to students who are already working. The research would be tested using the PLS-SEM program and the SPSS program to process data from the questionnaire. The study found that work engagement negatively influences perceived stress, with personality traits moderating this relationship. Personality traits also directly reduce perceived stress. Perceived organizational support (POS) positively influences perceived stress, work engagement, and work meaningfulness. Additionally, POS indirectly reduces stress through the mediating roles of work engagement, work meaningfulness, and their combination. Work meaningfulness enhances work engagement and, in turn, contributes to lowering stress. Furthermore, POS improves work engagement through the mediating effect of work meaningfulness. These findings highlight the importance of POS, meaningful work, and personality traits in fostering engagement and reducing stress in the workplace.
Alden Nelson Kenny Kenny Agustinus Setyawan Copyright (c) 2024 Alden Nelson, Kenny Kenny, Agustinus Setyawan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-09 2024-12-09 6 2 799 810 10.38035/dijemss.v6i2.3692 Implementation Of Service Excellence In The Field Of Laundry Services To Customer Satisfaction In Aa Laundry Cikarang https://dinastipub.org/DIJEMSS/article/view/3543
The laundry service industry growing rapidly along with the demands of people's increasingly practical lifestyles. However, existing studies often examine digital surveillance, social control, and privacy in isolation, and there is limited empirical research establishing clear causal links between state digital-surveillance and its broader societal impacts. As a result, there is a need for a confirmatory study that addresses this gap. The literature on the relationship between state digital-surveillance and its effects on privacy and autonomy remains fragmented, with few comprehensive studies exploring how surveillance practices shape societal structures. This scoping review utilizes the PCC model of PRISMA guidelines to investigate these connections. It focuses on the causal relationship between state digital-surveillance, individual freedoms, and societal control, providing an overview of existing literature and identifying areas for further research. Specifically, this review highlights the intersection of digital surveillance and social behavior, offering insights that map the complex linkages between state digital-surveillance and its effects on modern society.
Andi Ainun Juniarsi Nur Wahyu Gunawan Yogi Suprayogi Sugandi Copyright (c) 2024 Andi Ainun Juniarsi Nur, Wahyu Gunawan, Yogi Suprayogi Sugandi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-10 2024-12-10 6 2 872 884 10.38035/dijemss.v6i2.3730 The Effect of Character and Learning Motivation on Learning Achievment of Al-Qur'an and Hadith of Students at Madrasah Aliyah Attahiriyah Jakarta, Indonesia https://dinastipub.org/DIJEMSS/article/view/3706
The background of this research is that the teaching of Al-Qur'an Hadith is still inefficient because learning methods and media treated ineffective, resulting in student character and learning motivation being considered not ideal. Among the impacts, several villages and hamlets no longer met the criteria for territorial and population standards, necessitating an urgent resolution to prevent further socio-economic complications and ensure the optimization of government services. This situation has implications for both local governance and population administration. This research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing secondary data analysis to evaluate the policy response to the villages and hamlets impacted by the mud disaster in Sidoarjo Regency. The findings reveal that the local government has implemented mitigation processes for the affected areas in alignment with the prevailing regulations. However, various policy outcomes were identified, including administrative, governmental, economic, social, cultural, and environmental impacts. Notably, the top-down approach to village and district amalgamation presents anomalies that should prompt the Central Government to reassess its policy-making processes, ensuring that future decisions are more inclusive of community involvement. Additionally, the Sidoarjo Regency Government is urged to monitor and facilitate the long-term sustainability of the policy’s effects, ensuring that administrative and social cohesion is achieved in the merged areas. This research contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #11, which seeks to foster inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable cities and communities.
Andjar Surjadianto Nuri Herachwati Fiona Niska Dinda Nadia Copyright (c) 2024 Andjar Surjadianto, Nuri Herachwati, Fiona Niska Dinda Nadia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-11 2024-12-11 6 2 900 913 10.38035/dijemss.v6i2.3527 Organizational Capacity Of Educational Office In The Field Of Teachers And Educational Personnel Of West Java Province In The Placement Of Pppk Teachers https://dinastipub.org/DIJEMSS/article/view/3702
In 2001, the placement of PPPK teachers who had passed the PPPK selection was carried out in stages. During stages 3 and 4, the GTK division was given the authority to place and relocate PPPK teachers. However, in practice, issues were causing 1,000 out of 3,800 teachers (stage 3) and 1,000 out of 4,850 teachers (stage 4) to be assigned to inappropriate locations. Therefore, adequate organizational capacity is required. Organizational capacity is the ability of an organization to utilize its resources to solve problems and achieve established goals. This research was conducted at the West Java Provincial Education Office to determine the organizational capacity of the West Java Provincial Education Office in the field of Teachers and Education Personnel for placing PPPK teachers. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research method, employing data collection techniques from observations, documentation, and in-depth interviews with GTK staff who have authority over the placement of PPPK teachers. The results of this research are described based on the components of organizational capacity according to Horton et al. (2003), which consist of human resources, infrastructure, technology, financial resources, strategic leadership, program and process management, and cooperation and relations with other parties. he research results indicate that the organizational capacity in the Department of Education of West Java Province in the Teacher and Education Personnel Division (GTK) does not yet fully meet all five organizational capacity factors by Horton et al. in the placement of PPPK teachers. The unmet capacities include human resources, technology, cooperation, and relations. Meanwhile, the capacities for process and strategic leadership are considered fulfilled. The author concludes that the unmet capacities are due to the limited competence of employees, which affects other capacities

Angga Agustian Rita Myrna Nina Karlina Copyright (c) 2024 Angga Agustian, Rita Myrna, Nina Karlina https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-11 2024-12-11 6 2 914 927 10.38035/dijemss.v6i2.3702 Strategic Marketing Approaches For Automotive Industries : A Literature Review Study https://dinastipub.org/DIJEMSS/article/view/3551
This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies employed by the Indonesian automotive industry in response to the era of disruption. Implementation of job rotation policies in the public sector in Indonesia experiences various challenges, including bureaucratic characteristics that prioritize compliance so that job rotations are associated as punishment and political factors that cause job rotations to be exploited by certain parties for their interests. Based on the phenomenon, this exploratory research seeks to explore the perspective of civil servants (PNS) in interpreting the job rotation policy. The findings in this research illustrate that job rotation policy is a dispersion that produces various spectrums. Job rotation has a pliable nature and paradoxical benefits indicate that the job rotation policy has not been implemented consistently across multiple government agencies. The five main perspectives in this research provide an overview of the contradictory perspectives of civil servants. Some civil servants think that job rotations have a positive impact, while others think otherwise. These contradictions show the richness of information and a wide variety of answers and show that job rotation policies are pliable and have paradoxical benefits.
Anggoro Agung Wijayanto Copyright (c) 2024 Anggoro Agung Wijayanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-11 2024-12-11 6 2 935 947 10.38035/dijemss.v6i2.3677 The Influence of Training and Discipline on Employee Performance is Governed by Work Competence at the Job Training Center and Productivity Jambi Province https://dinastipub.org/DIJEMSS/article/view/3351
This study aims to analyze the influence of Training and Discipline on Employee Performance mediated by Work Competencies at the Job Training and Productivity Center (BLKP) of Jambi Province. This study uses a descriptive and verifiable approach, focusing on 60 BLKP employees as the object of research. The analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. From the results of the questionnaire, it was obtained that the training was considered effective with a total score of 2624. Employee discipline at BLKP Jambi is also relatively high, with a score of 1754. Employee Work Competencies showed a high score with a score of 2213, and Employee Performance was also included in the high category with a score of 2622. The results of the study show that Education and Training have a positive and significant effect on Work Competence, and Discipline also has a positive and significant influence on Work Competence. In addition, Training and Discipline each have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Work Competencies also have a positive and significant influence on Employee Performance. Furthermore, the results of the analysis show that Work Competency significantly mediates the influence of Training and Discipline on Employee Performance in BLKP Jambi Province.
Bastian Bastian Saiyid Syekh M. Villages are formed to improve public services and community welfare, based on community initiatives and local conditions. In accordance with the 1945 Constitution and the principle of decentralization, villages play a role in regional autonomy, with the central government giving some of its authority to regions, including villages, to achieve self-reliance and poverty reduction. This study aims to investigate the causes of the postponement of the Village Head Election (Village Head Election) in Gunungsitoli District, as well as the factors that cause the rejection of the Acting Village Head (P.J Village Head) in the region. The type of research that will be used in this approach is a type of naturalistic research or rather qualitative descriptive research. In general, the postponement of the Village Head Election and the appointment of Village Head Officials can face various challenges that have an impact on community participation, social and economic stability, and trust in village government institutions. Community involvement in the decision-making process and communication transparency are key to addressing these issues.
Dimas Melkisedek Setowardana Laia Eliagus Telaumbanua Otanius Laia Copyright (c) 2024 Dimas Melkisedek Setowardana Laia, Eliagus Telaumbanua, Otanius Laia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-13 2024-12-13 6 2 999 1015 10.38035/dijemss.v6i2.3594 Unleashing Potential: How Talent and Career Management Drive Employee Performance through Motivation (Case Study on Employees of PT. Educators and academics now see AI in education to be essential. The benefits of higher education and how universities adjust to shifting student and faculty attitudes on learning are topics of growing discussion. This study aims to explore how policymakers and educators may apply AI and modify it for the learning domain. The integrated technology acceptance model (TAM)-TOE model was implemented in a conceptual model that was released. It was tested with survey data obtained from 200 respondents who participated in an online survey, and a structural equation model (SEM-PLS) was utilized to assess the suggested hypotheses. The results show that organizational readiness, organizational compatibility, and partner support on perceived ease of use had been correlated with any significant relationship evaluated in the setting of higher education. It is anticipated that the approach will help authorities facilitate the use of AI in higher education. Furthermore, as AI is still in its infancy, more academic study is required before it can be used to the sector of education.
Djoko Setyo Widodo Dwi Rachmawati Hadi Wijaya Alfi Maghfuriyah Udriya Udriya Copyright (c) 2024 Djoko Setyo Widodo, Dwi Rachmawati, Hadi Wijaya, Alfi Maghfuriyah, Udriya Udriya https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-13 2024-12-13 6 2 1029 1039 10.38035/dijemss.v6i2.3645
